National Advisory Committee on School Drug Education (NACSDE) Terms of Reference
The National Advisory Committee on School Drug Education will:
- Provide expert advice and direction to the Minister for Education, Training and Youth Affairs, and through the Minister to the Ministerial Council on Education, Employment, Training and Youth Affairs (MCEETYA), on the development and implementation of a National School Drug Education Strategy.
- Monitor, review and evaluate the progress of the School Drug Education Strategy in the light of emerging issues relating to drugs and associated drug education, both nationally and internationally and provide timely advice regarding strategic intervention as required.
- Provide high level expert advice to the Ministerial Council on Drug Strategy through the Intergovernmental Committee on Drugs and work closely with the Australian National Council on Drugs.
- Provide reports to Australian National Council on Drugs, the Ministerial Council on Drug Strategy, The Ministerial Council on Education, Employment, Training and Youth Affairs or Council of Australian Governments as required.
