The National Drug Strategy 2004-2009 is a policy framework that provides a coordinated, integrated approach to prevent and reduce the harms caused by drugs in the Australian community. It is the responsibility of the Ministerial Council on Drugs Strategy, which is the peak policy and decision making body on licit and illicit drugs.
